Finca Santa Maria
At Finca Santa Maria, the coffee is cultivated by a remarkable team of 22 women, all of whom are heads of household. Their mission extends beyond producing exceptional coffee; it is about positively impacting their community and nurturing a harmonious relationship with nature. This commitment is validated by their certifications as an organic farm, Rainforest Alliance, Smithsonian Bird Friendly®, and recipients of the Con Manos de Mujer seal, a testament to the dedication and hard work of these remarkable women. The coffee is sent fresh from the farm to Swiss Water, where it is naturally decaffeinated, free or chemicals.
High-Altitude Grown
Located in the southwestern coastal region of Colombia, Narino shares a southern border with Ecuador and is home to thousands of smallholder coffee producing families. Colombia’s three ranges of Andean mountains converge in Nariño, presenting ideal altitudes and fertile soil for high grown Arabica production.
The Caturra variety has been planted in the Inga territory, on smallholder properties in the Resguardo Inga Aponte, at an average of 2150 meters above sea level. This elevation, combined with the Galeras Volcano constantly shedding nutrient-rich ash, makes for an exceptionally complex and sweet coffee.
